T e a c h i n g

-    Have you always wanted to learn to sing?

-    Do you want to build your confidence?

-    Does your child have an interest in performing arts?

I am an experienced and qualified teacher of singing, with an understanding of both vocal mechanics and the pedagogy of teaching. I am a member of the Association Of Teachers Of Singing (AOTOS) and I have taught students for several years. I have had students successfully audition for conservatoires and drama schools, with students receiving offers to study at Trinity Laban Conservatoire and Bird College, London.

My approach to teaching is to fully ground the voice into one's own body, focussing on core sounds, connection to the breath and the primary physical nature of sound production to produce the singing voice. I offer a supportive and safe environment to achieve vocal and personal development, always with the students' best interests in mind.

I can teach many genres from classical and musical theatre to pop and rock and I have taught young children, teenagers, adults and burgeoning professionals. I have led singing workshops for the Luton Music Service with upwards of 300 primary school children, led rehearsals with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, worked as the vocal specialist at Stagecoach Luton, taught choristers at Croydon Minster and taught singing to a high level for students auditioning for conservatoires and drama schools.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in lessons.
